you are a creator
you do what you do
you try to see what sells
perhaps it always sells
and good for you!

maybe you are better at creating than knowing what others will pay for
so you keep creating in hope that they will
and, if you did know what they wanted,

would you want to do it their way?
are you a businessperson or an artist?
can you be both congruently?
can you find an art form which is aligned with the marketplace?
or can you find a marketplace aligned with your art form?
is it art for arts sake?

your art can feed your soul
but can it feed your body?

of course it can.

Wherever we work and whatever we do, we are doing something for someone, if only for ourselves, and that is good enough.
